Craft Fair at Lower Holker Village Hall, Cark

 We set up our stall on Saturday morning and placed all our items so they could be seen nicely. [See Below]

A big thank you to members who made items, helped on the stall and came to buy. The stall looked very pretty but the fair was not particularly well attended due to weather and Covid19 but we were able to do a bit of advertising for our group.

Twisted Cord

 The twisted cord is finished and ready to hang our positivity squares in the hall every month. It was made from twisting blue and yellow wool together to match the colours of our logo.

My fingers are crossed that it is long enough to go over the base of the arch!

Name Badge Denis[e] the Menace

 Denise has nearly finished her name badge and she has used a play on her own name of Denise and used the famous cartoon character Denis[e] the Menace.

I think he is wonderful and everyone will see her coming. Denise said she enjoyed making him.

Thanks Denise. There will be a lot more badges to join him soon.

Name Badge Sandra Kendall October Meeting 2021

 As we have a few new members, and we are hoping to increase our numbers further , we decided to make new name badges each showing something about ourselves which could be used as a conversation starter.

Sandra had made one for herself with her hobbies appliqued around the edge.

Member chose their background material and then thought about the shape which was some what dependent on the length of their name!

A range of stitches were chosen for the names and each badge began to emerge with a different personality linked to the maker.

Members took their  badges away to finish at home and they will be very helpful as we obtain new members.

In-between badge making Mary held a small group session for anyone who needed help with their Temari Balls started just before lockdown.
