Finished Pieces of Work

 Julia has  finished her  bright and cheerful mini  hanging of a Spring day complete with a bowl of flowers. The more you look the more you see as there are flowers, grasses in the background and a colourful caterpillar in the foreground.

The stitching has been done loosely to produce a painterly effect.

Sandra has just finished her brightly coloured green woodpecker. She drew and coloured the woodpecker with inktense and then embroidered over the top using straight stitch, feather stitch and French knots for the eye and spots. The log has been embroidered with couching stitch.

She has used several strands of varying shades together to try and add shape to the bird.
