Suffolk Puff Christmas Trees - Janet Tabarandak November Meeting 2021

Janet showed us a whole variety and sizes of Suffolk Puff Christmas trees that sparkled and twinkled in Christmas colours. They had all been made  using Suffolk Puffs in decreasing sizes and by the time Janet had finished she had a whole forest.

Members started by cutting out circles in decreasing sizes and then ironing a supporting circle of half the diameter to the circle.

The inner circle was to give the puff more body. The circles were then gathered around the edge and pulled tight to make the puffs.

When all the puffs had been gathered they were placed on top of each other in decreasing sizes and then with a long needle stitched through the centre. Some members decided to decorate their trees before joining them.

Most members had got to this stage and then took them away to decorate at home and attach a pot.
They will be brought back to the December meeting as entries to the Christmas competition and I am sure they will all brighten up a dark December day.
A big thank you to Janet for introducing us to the Suffolk Puff Christmas trees and guiding us carefully through the making of them,
