This is the blog of South Lakeland Stitchers. We are a new stitching group formed from North Lonsdale branch E.G. and Kendal branch E.G. plus new members from the locality. We enjoy stitching in all its forms and meet together once a month to share our hobby. We range from members who are learning to stitch to experienced stitchers and there is a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share with beginners.
Pictured below are two sample weaving pieces made by Sandra.
The piece on the left is woven with hand spun and dyed linen and the piece on the right is mixing colours.
Fran has just completed a layered and appliqued sample piece made at a workshop led by Vinny Stapley. The colours are very pretty and I love the appliqued naturalistic shapes.
The first part of the morning will be taken up with the AGM. Once the AGM has finished we will hold a shorter than usual stitching session ...
